Visix Inc. released an updated version of its AxisTV software suite, according to a press release. Features include enhanced calendaring and schedule management tools and updated visual design and workflows.

"This release really expands what content creators can do in both the CMS and our desktop design app," Debbie DeWitt, marketing communications manager, Visix, said in the release. "We've not only added new widgets and features, but we've made it easier to pull in and configure content from the web, which is essential for our cloud-dependent clients. This not only makes managing digital signage easier, but it also ensures that on-screen data is always up to date."

The system also features enhancements for image linking via URL and RSS feeds. New integrations include the capacity to save passwords on secure systems like Microsoft Sharepoint to avoid playback interruptions along with OneDrive downloads thorough the Excel widget. Also of interest to Microsoft-centric deployments, the Outlook 365 widget can be optionally configured for MS Cloud or U.S. Government environments.

Scheduling allows integration with Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Google Calendar and other popular calendaring systems, and the update includes the Book CollegeNET widget which allows users to book rooms from the display and synchronizes this with the back end booking software.

Security enhancements include upgraded SAML functionality.
